I like checking out Booooooom because even though it’s never about painting I occasionally find formalists like Gianluca.

Last point in this Artsy write up is true- I discovered KAWS abstract work first (GQ wrote about him recently as well). It’s kind of funny that the big “A” Art world still toys with an in/out paradigm discussion at all- like either choice (or success in either world) is about anything other than money. Being sold in a specific channel makes something Art? No, the time and weight of history does that.

Two Coats of Paint right on the money with this write up. Kind of reminds me of Fran O’Neil in the sense that they appear narrative.

Caught this great read on Artsy and decided to explore Sam’s catalog. 60 years of painting (and installation, and printmaking, and…) sounds like a dream come true.

Like most 80s kids I remember Spirograph so Juxtapoz caught my eye with this one. I had to post them because ANALOG!!! Click through to his IG feed and watch some video.

Interesting to see how some artists’ work evolves off the canvas/paper into a physical form. I hope I get to see one of these up close at some point.

Caught this interesting interview with Beth in ARTnews- curious to see these as the results of lots of drawing, and to hear how color and form can inform each other.

May have first seen Lucas Tumblring, also follow him on IG (along with a lot of other people).

Found this article and was curious- thanks #artnet!- about whether I knew what they knew… I’m all about Erin O’Keefe and Sarah Crowner (I also follow Maya Hayuk on IG), and was thrilled to discover Marina!

First discovered Bernard Tumblring, and have followed him on IG. I love how eclectic his production is.
