First saw Georges’ work in Front Burner with Ashlynn and Brett and Lien. He recently also curated Abstracto/Latino: Latin American with an Abstract Fusion.
Also- the way he often lets his stretcher bars show or uses them as compositional elements reminds me of Dona.

He is a self-taught artist who is on the spectrum.
#wileyjohnson

Freddie is headed into the Regional Emerging Artist Residency for Artspace for 2022. They feel (as a queer/trans person) that “language is important for expressing our experiences, but labels become limiting when we become too attached to them” and they explore this through loose shape and varied repetition.

Saw thanks to a friend that “Swish” (one of my profs from my short tenure in architecture school) has a small retro up in the Lambla Gallery at UNCC’s College of Arts and Architecture.

Got to meet Pete at a show he’s in with Jean Grey (Shaping Spaces). His shift to abstraction is new.

I’ve watched Jackie’s work evolve over several years (we are in the same crit circle), and I’m thrilled to be showing with her and Anna and Adriana.
