This blog began as a diary* of the artists I was looking at as I restarted a practice after more than a decade. Eventually this became (and still is, mostly) a daily practice of researching one specific artist. Over time I began to use the blog function to catalog my own practice. At first, I wrote as detailed narrative of my portfolio, in particular once I started making installation work in addition to paintings. I also began curating, which entailed writing more critically about general concepts and engaging with the work of others, and eventually the blog came to include a bimonthly practice of long form. Hopefully 2026 takes my writing to new places!
