Sep ’19 study

Despite the fact that my work may seem to have a consistent theme, I’m still at the stage where I’m working through a lot of ideas, I find it helpful to keep some smaller works going from time to time. With this piece the idea was to focus on a narrower band of mark-making strategies (all brushed) as well as palette. Started this one with a drawing on acetate using the projector and used the same technique (single “shade” tone and a system of tape dots) to create a sort of pattern that implies a light source, but not consistently.
